About

Having a hard time sleeping? Help is on the way!

We know what it’s like. We really do.

We know what it’s like to crawl from our bed, drooling our way toward the shower, after managing to nab 92 minutes of sleep.

We know what it’s like to nod off during an important meeting with the sales manager.

We know what it’s like to drug ourselves to near oblivion, just to get some blessed relief.

We’ve been there. We get it. That’s why we’re here.

And that’s probably why you’re here.

MEET THE TEAM

Peter Wilson

Co-Founder

Peter graduated from University of Delaware in 2010 with a BA in Economics, and before founding Counting Sheep, he has since worked for a variety of companies in digital marketing roles. Peter’s passion for sleep started in his mid-20s when he started experiencing insomnia. While doing research on his own, and trying to understand his sleep issues, Peter discovered that many websites about sleep offer contradictory advice and that there was extreme bias from manufacturers. As Peter couldn’t find a decent resource for sleep health, mattresses and sleep products, he decided to create one. At that moment, Counting Sheep was born.

When he is not working on websites, he loves spending time with his wife Mary and daughter Emma.

However, in 2011 Derek’s interest in sleep research and health aspects of sleep have grown, and the idea of Counting Sheep was formed. Derek also worked with many mattress manufacturers where he helped in designing and constructing mattresses for online sales.
